About Me

I am a straightforward, trustworthy, hopeful and, above all, loving person. I care deeply about each of my clients. I want what is best for you! I provide a safe, respectful, and non-judgemental place for you to discover and develop your best self. I believe that everyone can change and grow, we do not have to be stuck with our present selves. As a trained counselor, with vast life experience, I am able to hear things in your story that you may not hear, make connections you have been unable to make, and help you take strides in getting to where you want to be.

At painful times in my life I have sought individual, couple and family counseling and have benefitted immensely. It is often the pain that is an invitation to a new way, a better way, to more joy and freedom.

I am grateful for my husband and our 28 years of marriage. We have changed and grown so much. We have two beautiful young adult sons and one wonderful dog named Marley. I love being outside: hiking the mountains of Oregon where we used to live; walking the beaches where we live now; swimming; walking anywhere; and biking.

My Education and Credentials

I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling - Marriage, Couple and Family from Messiah University. I also earned a Master’s Degree in Health and Fitness Management from American University.

My Integrated Approach

In our work together, you will learn and benefit from my integrated approach, which will:

  • Focus on solutions to meet your most immediate needs;
  • Uncover impacts of your family of origin so that you can heal from them and develop new, healthy dynamics in your current and future relationships;
  • Identify the emotions subconsciously driving your choices and behaviors, often negatively;
  • Integrate spirituality and/or faith in the process for those who desire to do so.
